Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund

Secondary 1 pupils from low-income families can apply for the ST School Pocket Money Fund by 13 February 2026. Eligible students receive $100 monthly, disbursed from June 2026.

Application for Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund

 Dear Parents/Guardians,

 We are pleased to inform you that applications for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund will be opened from 20 January to 13 February 2026 (for Sec 1 pupils only).

 This fund aims to support students from families in needs.

 Successful applicants will receive a monthly allowance of $100, disbursed through the school starting from June 2026.

 Eligibility criteria for the fund are as follows:

  •  Student is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)

  • Family has a gross per capita income (PCI) of $1000/ month or less.

  • Student is receiving full-time formal education in a mainstream primary / secondary / mixed level / Junior College / Centralised Institute; Institutes of Technical Education; Polytechnic; Specialised; Independent; Specialised Independent; SPED; MOE-designated full-time Madrasahs; and

  • Is not concurrently receiving other similar monthly school pocket money schemes (Note that applicants under the MOE/SPED Financial Assistance Scheme are eligible)

  • Has not been a STSPMF beneficiary for 24 months for the whole schooling years of primary and secondary school and 48 months for post-secondary school.

NOTE:  If the student is currently receiving MOE/SPED FAS or ComCare Assistance, student will only need to submit completed Annex A (Application form) with ComCare Assistance letter indicating period of assistance (Submission will be accepted as long as the Applicant/student is under assistance at the point of STSPMF application). 

 Students currently receiving the allowance would need to re-apply for 2027. MOE FAS beneficiaries are eligible to apply as well.

 Applications must be submitted together with the supporting documents.

 To apply, please submit the completed application forms to the General Office no later than Friday, 13 February 2026.
