Application for Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund 2027

The applications for The Straits Times School Pocket Money Fund will be opened from 4 August to 11 September 2026 (for Sec 1 to 3 pupils only).

This fund aims to support students from families in needs.

Successful applicants will receive a monthly allowance of $100, disbursed through the school starting from Jan 2027.

Eligibility criteria for the fund are as follows:

•  Student is a Singapore Citizen (SC) or Singapore Permanent Resident (SPR)

• Family has a gross per capita income (PCI) of $1000/ month or less.

• Student is receiving full-time formal education in a mainstream primary / secondary / mixed level / Junior College / Centralised Institute; Institutes of Technical Education; Polytechnic; Specialised; Independent; Specialised Independent; SPED; MOE-designated full-time Madrasahs; and

• Is not concurrently receiving other similar monthly school pocket money schemes (Note that applicants under the MOE/SPED Financial Assistance Scheme are eligible)

• Has not been a STSPMF beneficiary for 24 months for the whole schooling years of primary and secondary school and 48 months for post-secondary school.

 NOTE:  If the student is currently receiving MOE/SPED FAS or ComCare Assistance, student will only need to submit completed the 2027 STSPMF Application Form with ComCare Assistance letter indicating period of assistance (Submission will be accepted as long as the Applicant/student is under assistance at the point of STSPMF application). 

MOE FAS beneficiaries are eligible to apply as well.

 Applications must be submitted together with the supporting documents.

To apply, please submit the completed application forms to the General Office no later than Friday, 11 September 2026 by 5pm.
